To pre-qualify as a potential client of Paris Law for a particular legal matter, you may be directed to, or you may land on an online form portion of the Website, or Paris Law's secure practice management vendor TxDocs, requesting information from you. The pre-qualification questions will ask you to voluntarily disclose certain information including your first and last name, your email address, your phone number and other personal information. If you do not qualify for an initial legal consultation, then Paris Law may use the information that you provided to send you information about Paris Law's services in the future.

Information Paris Law Tracks About You

For each visitor to this Website, Paris Law's Web Server, hosted by Squarespace.com, recognizes, where possible, the visitor’s domain name or other more specific information about the visitor. The Server also gathers information about what pages in the Website visitors access and for how long they visit certain pages. In addition, the Website can sometimes ascertain if you reached the Website by employing a particular search engine or by clicking on a particular advertising banner. Paris Law may use this information to improve the quality of its Website or to identify specific details of your visit to the Website.

Paris Law may also collect details of your visit to the Website, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location, the resources that you access, as well as information about your computer and Internet connection, including your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information. This is statistical data about each user's equipment, browsing actions and patterns, and is not intended to identify any specific individual.

Paris Law's Website uses advertising services (also called remarketing or retargeting services) provided, for example, by Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Google, and Squarespace (collectively, the “Advertising Service Providers”). They all work in a similar manner. When you view certain pages on this Website, code on that page enables the Advertising Service Providers to place a cookie or web beacon on your browser, which collects and uses anonymized identifiers, your IP address, and your website activity for advertising purposes. You will notice these services in operation after you leave the Website, when advertisements from Paris Law appear on other websites or online service.

Cookies

Paris Law may obtain information about your use of the Website by using cookies. A cookie is a small file stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies help Paris Law improve its Website and deliver a better and more personalized service such as storing information about your preferences, allowing Paris Law to customize its Website according to your individual interest. Cookies also allow Paris Law to recognize you when you return to the Website.

You may also receive cookies from third parties Paris Law engages to help it provide the Website, such as Google Analytics, which is used to gather information about how visitors use the Website.

You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the appropriate setting in your browser software. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of the Website. Unless you have adjusted your browser so that it will refuse cookies, the system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to the Website.

How Your Information is Used

Paris Law does not sell your data to third parties. It uses information that it collects about you or that you provide to it in the following ways:

  • To provide you with communication and information;

  • Provide information about products or services that you request from Paris Law;

  • Subscribe to newsfeeds, blogs and emails that you have requested to enroll in;

Paris Law includes links to social media sites, such as LinkedIn or X/Twitter, on its Website. If you follow links to these websites or services, any information you contribute will be governed by the terms of use or privacy policies for those third-party websites, and may be visible to others. You should never share or post personal, financial or sensitive information or any you expect to be treated confidentially through these social media sites.

Disclosure of Your Information

Paris Law may disclose personal information that you provide via this Website to the following third parties:

  • Its subsidiaries, affiliates and joint venture partners;

  • Contractors, vendors and service providers Paris Law uses to support its business and this Website;

  • In the event of merger, acquisition or any form of sale of some or all of Paris Law's assets, in which case personal information it collects via this Website will be among the assets transferred to the buyer.

Do Not Track Disclosure

Certain web browsers may allow you to enable a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) option that sends signals to the websites you visit indicating that you do not want your online activities tracked. This is different from blocking cookies as browsers with the DNT option selected may still accept Paris Law's cookies. Paris Law's Website does not respond to DNT signals at this time.
